Gillian has spent over 20 years creating environments that convey character and serve the needs of projects ranging from features and episodic TV to commercials and music videos as well as theatre and live events.  Her roots in theatre give Gillian a strong foundation for how to research, design, and build props and scenery.

Among her commercial credits are a wide range of Fortune 500 companies including Coca-Cola, Gillette, Budweiser, Goodyear, NAPA, and Time Warner Cable. Many of these spots showcase NASCAR’s brightest talent like Dale Earnhardt Jr., Danica Patrick, Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart.  In her film and TV projects, Gillian has collaborated with many noted names, whether it was working with Greg Nicotero to find implements for impaling zombies on The Walking Dead, searching for the perfect welding mask for Channing Tatum in Magic Mike XXL, making (vegan, non-dairy) milkshakes for Gwyneth Paltrow in Shallow Hal, hunting down the right banker box for Chris Evans in Gifted, and for Homeland creating Carrie’s rainbow wall with Claire Danes and building the suicide vest for Damian LewisHer eclectic career has given Gillian the opportunity to work with directing icons such as Steven Soderbergh, Marc Webb, Spike Lee, Errol Morris, Jonathan Demme, and Gina Prince-Bythewood.

With a degree in Theatre Arts from Penn State, Gillian has built props for major theatre companies such as The Actor’s Theatre of Louisville and The La Jolla Playhouse.  She has designed scenery for The Avett Brothers, propped an off-Broadway show, and designed a theatrical national tour.  She was certified as an Emergency Medical Technician for 10 years and worked her way through college doing the night shift with an ambulance service.  Her foreign language was Sign Language, and had the honor of stage managing The Grapes of Wrath with 24 Deaf actors at The National Technical Institute for the Deaf.  All of this has made Gillian a designer who believes in having a strong work ethic and working collaboratively when bringing visions into reality to tell the story at hand.
